Lesson 6 – A : Functions ( Auto sum , average ,count numbers , Minimum , maximum  )

We will discuss four main functions used by most excel user .

Auto sum :

Sum the range of cells before the cell

as we can see after we click auto sum it calculate the range from b3 to b8 without selection

  

Average :

Average  is the sum of cells divided by the count 

figure below :

1750 =( (1000+2000+3000+1000+1500+2000)/6)

count numbers

it counts the cells contains no. in the vertical range before function 

Max :

returns the largest value in the same range

Min : 

returns the smallest value in the range
